Impact Investing at Work in the Great Lakes Region

You will hear from two Platform Delivery Partners, Quantified Ventures and Michigan SAVES, as they talk about how they are putting impact investing to work in our region.   The Platform will host a continuing quarterly webinar series which will showcase participating projects and organizations as well as new developments in impact finance.  All webinars are at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. 

Seth Brown of Quantified Ventures explained how a $5 million environmental impact bond provided upfront capital to build the Bailey’s Mountain Biking Trail System.  The project is restoring an abandoned mine, creating an 88-mile trail across 9,000 acres in Athens, Ohio.

Mary Templeton of Michigan SAVES talked about how the nation’s first nonprofit green bank is making energy improvements easy and affordable for all Michigan energy consumers.
